Health Promotion
Health Education provides leadership and training experiences
to help students build skills, learn about themselves and others,
and take action to enhance community health on and off campus.
Through academic classes and group work, students help to create
a campus and community environment where socio/cultural/political
and peer norms are supportive of community and individual health.
Managing stress, nutrition and eating, drinking, drugs, sexual
health and healthy relationships are a few of the topics students
explore. Many opportunities exist; advocacy, assessment, internships,
independent study, educational theatre, community service and job
experience. Seminars, workshops and exhibits are conducted by skilled
student advocates. |
